During 2020, when the world became impacted by the pandemic, 22 musicians across 7 continents used BandLab to collaborate virtually and create an album for charity, proving music could thrive during COVID. Since then, the band continued to grow and advance, adding several new members and releasing five more albums.
With the songs "Manor Hill", "Puerto Aisen", "Night Shift", "The Chamber", and "Butterflies" (all featured on the World Over EP), INTERCONTINEN7AL is the first and only act in music history to create original compositions with instrumentation recorded across all 7 continents.
The band's music spans a multitude of genres, including alternative & hard rock, folk, pop, blues, jazz, Latin, funk, metal, gospel, prog, classical, reggae, bluegrass, bossa nova and even showtunes. All proceeds from streams go towards various humanitarian causes and non-profit charities.
INTERCONTINEN7AL has been featured and reviewed by over 150 news outlets, music magazines & blogs, media podcasts and other sites such as San Diego Union-Tribune, Denver Post, Earmilk, The Big Takeover, BandLab, Focusrite, Obscure Sound, Hype Machine, International Polar Foundation, Tony Kornheiser Show, and Newsbreak.
